Curse

Curses generally refer to a type of spell that was available to the necromancer in Diablo II. They ranged in function, but were generally debuff abilities. While not necessarily called "curses" in Diablo III, the witch doctor has a few skills available that can fill the debuffing role that curses had in Diablo II, particularly skills such as Horrify.
