Seasonal Legendary items can only be found by seasonal characters during each ladder season. After each season ends, these items become findable by all types of characters, and a new crop of seasonal legendaries are implemented for the next season.

These are not necessarily the best legendary items, as the goal of the developers is not to create a whole new tier of top power legendary items; just to add some new gear and variety.
