This event takes place on the [[Ancient Pyre]] map tile which has a random chance to spawn in the [[Southern Highlands]]. The pyre is also home to other [[adventure]]s and may not spawn Gharbad at all.
The first phase is very simple: destroy two wards that are very close to Gharbad, and have barely any [[health]]. However, a handful of khazra ghosts will also spawn, and while they are not [[elite]], they hit surprisingly hard. Use the pyre in the middle of the area to break line of sight with the ranged attackers if the hero is taking too much damage.
A shaman will spawn with the ranged and melee goats, and is the objective for the second phase of the event. Kill him to move forward.
Speak with Gharbad once again to initiate the final phase of the event which is, of course, to kill him. However, the ghost of Gharbad the Weak quickly mutates into the living manifestation of Gharbad the Strong, and he is fairly strong.
Gharbad has no special [[boss modifiers]], but he does hit very hard in melee and has a knockback attack with extra health. Once he is defeated (again), the event will be complete.
