Welcome[edit source]

Hey man. Nice update on the Mana Globe. I edited that, and the Health Globe a bit. Welcome aboard DiabloWiki.net ;) Hope you'll be around to help when/after the BlizzCon stuff floods us :) --Leord 14:40, 21 August 2009 (CEST)

You there? Seen more nice edits from you :) If you feel unsure on how to reply, check out Help:Talk --Leord 14:02, 4 September 2009 (CEST)
Thanks! I'm just concentrating on the Lore section right now, since its mainly text. I still need to learn how to properly edit pages, will do in a few weeks.--TheWanderer 02:49, 9 September 2009 (CEST)

Oh! That would be awesome! We need lore and lore navigation improved. I am a lore lover, and I keep trying to get to the lore, but bloody Blizzard keep releasing new D3 info. Check out the Help page I made for help. :) Other than just editing text, there is not much more needed doing on lore articles. Ofc, pictures are great as well. But mainly you only need to know how to write (doh) and add pictures :) --Leord 17:50, 9 September 2009 (CEST)

Also, I just saw your other edits. Good job man! :D --Leord 18:23, 9 September 2009 (CEST)

Weird Links[edit source]

Where did you get hold of these URLs? They are not regular ones, they contain an invisible sign. In the URL you can see the "%E2%80%8E", and that is how the browser interpret it. Very good of you to create redirects, but I might delete them later, depending on where you got them :) --Leord 11:30, 25 September 2009 (CEST)

It was on the first page:D, in the 'Did you Know?' section. -- 00:24, 26 September 2009 TheWanderer
Oki, ty, I fixed the problem :) That can happen when you copy text from the "recent changes" page. There's an invisible character after each word. So beware :) --Leord 19:14, 29 September 2009 (CEST)

Great work on the lore![edit source]

Really nice one with the characters and stuff! :D

I just want to remind you that in order to get people to actually find the articles and read them, you need to put them into a category of some sort. Characters from books go into "Category:Characters", and so on. Also, a navigation box would be good. Just add this code: NPC navbox of any NPC or character you add. On top of that, click the little "[e]" in the navbox when done, and add the character to an appropriate column :)

Great work though! :D --Leord 11:52, 25 September 2009 (CEST)

By the way! On the Template:NPC navbox, we can see a VERY long list of "Other" characters. Are you sure none of those are "Minor" characters, and can be put in the bottom end in alphabetical order instead? --Leord 12:46, 25 September 2009 (CEST)

What happened with the classes[edit source]

I left a message for User:Krunkest404. So, basically, he managed to fuck up the boilerplate as well as the Classbox. This was obviously beyond your skills, but what you SHOULD have done is restoring the classbox, and then moving it back to it's real name. That would have fixed it without deleting the classbox code from each of the class pages.

I appreciate you did as good as you could, and it's honestly better without class boxes than having a fan class on EVERY single class. However, if you feel unsure in the future, don't delete, just comment it out. I am now gonna write a long message for Krunkest404.... :P --Leord 13:33, 25 September 2009 (CEST)

Range of updates[edit source]

Saw the updates from Monday evening. Bloody nice :) --Leord 11:17, 14 October 2009 (CEST)

Thanks! Though that's Monday morning or Tuesday marning:)--TheWanderer 02:52, 15 October 2009 (CEST)
I Know, I am a bit late. I did see it back then, but I was fiddling with stuff and never got my finger out to comment. :) At the moment, I am doing Diablo II skills in the D2 wiki. You could help me fill out the lore entries that gets created from that! It's primarily the flavour text Blizz added to spells and classes. We really need to re-write the Amazon, Paladin etc articles to be more "wiki", and also incorporate much info available on the skills. The Amazon skills are particularly full of info about the Amazon pantheon, which would be cool to map out in a Amazon pantheon of gods or similar article. Perhaps Amazon gods would suffice as a name...
Also, cross referencing skills with lore articles etc.
In the D2 wiki, we won't do much lore, so changing links from local lore links in the D2 wiki to use the link link template (check here for how to use. Basically, replacing links in D2W that leads to lore in D2W with links to DW.net. :) --Leord 12:40, 15 October 2009 (CEST)
Got it Chief!--TheWanderer 00:51, 16 October 2009 (CEST)
Cool, then you got something to do if you become bored :P --Leord 15:34, 16 October 2009 (CEST)

Nor Tiraj and other new pages[edit source]

Regarding Nor Tiraj, I just wanted to say - awesome you add them - but you need to add them to categories and navboxes, or they will just be forgotten in the flow of wiki articles. So, put articles like that in Category:Characters, and add the NPC navbox to it. I know, he's not an npc, but we'll sort out the "character navbox" and "NPC navbox" etc later on. Perhaps also add characters of the Horadrim to Category:Horadrim... --Leord 12:49, 15 October 2009 (CEST)

In the most literal sense of NPC, Nor Tiraj is one too. I don't recall being able to play with Nor Tiraj? :P --Vipermagi 21:17, 15 October 2009 (CEST)
Well, saying "NPC" indicates they are part of the game, and they are not. So they are "Characters" pure and simple. We reserve the term "NPC" for characters we'll meet in-game that are not controlled by the AI. Either way, the navbox will do fine until we get more characters and NPCs, at which point we'll have to organise the whole thing better. --Leord 15:34, 16 October 2009 (CEST)

New Work[edit source]

I think I'll start working on the Deadend pages and Lonely pages :) listed in Melianor's page.--TheWanderer 00:58, 16 October 2009 (CEST)

Saw that. Awesome :) Also, consider looking into "short pages", and "wanted pages". You can find them all here, and you can put the links you use a lot on your own user page for reference. I would link mine, but that one's a mess, don't even go there :P --Leord 15:34, 16 October 2009 (CEST)
Thanks!--TheWanderer 02:34, 17 October 2009 (CEST)

Notes on latest batch[edit source]

I just feel warm and fuzzy when all the red links are slowly disappearing! :) Here are just a few notes. I don't want to take over all the "latest changes" with my name everywhere :)

 • Banagar - Add links on Blackmarch & demon.
 • Esu clan - Change "of the Zann Esu clan" to "of the reclusive Zann Esu all-female mage clan". Mainly to get a link to "mage clan" in there. Also, you could make a note like "The mage clan Diablo III's Wizard originally was sent to.
 • Also, I moved a few names in the Template:NPC navbox, as we keep them in alphabetical order :)
 • Andariel - Don't leave it as an empty article. Even just copying some info from the D2W is fine. In this case I just added a interwiki template, but it's only ever supposed to be a temporary solution. You've done great on many articles, feel free to help fill that out as well.
 • Journal of Elder Aust of Harrogath - I restored it, actually. Don't take offence, but we really just need those articles in D3W. The D3W is the "general wiki" with lore etc, and the pages we make here can LINK to D2W pages on that page, but generally try to avoid using Template:Iw on D3W, unless linking to a very specific D2W thing, like a skill or item. However, on the D2W, use it however much you want, as we want D2W visitors to try out the D3W. :) Sometimes the IW is ok, but in other cases it's better to link to a "red" page, so people see it needs doing. It's a hard path sometimes, like the Michael Bell article IW:ing Nihlathak, that's a situation where it's a good link, but if we'd have had a proper Nihlathak article, that would have been better...

On the whole you're doing an absolutely smashing job! Just ask me if you feel unsure about anything, but it's also good you just continue to edit, so it's *edited* and I can explain more detailed how to do individual things as I see your edits. :) Don;t ever feel you have to wait for my permission or anyone else's to do something. :) --Leord 14:10, 20 October 2009 (CEST)

Thanks! Only 543 more Wanted pages. :)--TheWanderer 02:44, 21 October 2009 (CEST)

Goodbye[edit source]

Well, not permanently. I have exams in March(big ones) and my parents are going to cancel the net connection to make sure I concentrate on them. I'll be back in March(2nd week probably).--TheWanderer 01:54, 2 November 2009 (CET)

Oh, You made me just as sad as I was warm and fuzzy before :( But I look forward to March when you come back! :) Done an awesome job, and we will miss you plenty! --Leord 15:21, 3 November 2009 (CET)

Hullo[edit source]

I'm back a bit early. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year(a bit late).

Merry Christmas, Wanderer :) --Vipermagi 12:43, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Merry Christmas and welcome back! :) --Leord 15:43, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Lore updates[edit source]

Awesome new characters you added. We're starting to really grow now! :) One thing though, people need to be able to reach articles easily, don;t forget to add category and navbox. Just add these two lines after your content: NPC navbox

Keep up the greatness! :) --Leord 11:33, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Its been a long time, so I just need somemore time to relearn everything.:)--TheWanderer 23:24, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Well, I have not had time to add navbox or category to them, so if you have 5 min to spare, go ahead and just do a copy paste job on them :) Also, I love the short but precise Gidbinn. Perhaps get a picture for it as well? Also, it needs to be in these categories: --Leord 11:34, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Much delayed response[edit source]

Thanks for the kind words regarding the staff updates. :)

As I was watching Blizzcon 2010, I thought to myself, "You know, I don't really know who these people are. They're working on a great game, what else have they done?" And, what do you know, the wiki seems to need some info about them! So, I did some digging on the web searching for game credits, dev interviews, personal art galleries, etc. It's amazing what you can find with just a name and the general field a person is in. Some of them were more difficult to find information on than others.

As far as HTML/CSS coding goes, I'm at a fairly amateur level. I've monkeyed around with making websites from Photoshop mock-ups, which has given me some patience and experience with looking at blocks of text that are seemingly nightmarish. Varquynne 10:55, 31 January 2011 (CET)
