Monstrous Dune Thresher, Bane of the Dunds, is a Sand Shark beast that lurks beneath the sands of the Stinging Winds (map) in Act II.

A man calls for your help as he lay incapacitated in the sand but before you can aid him he is suddenly sucked beneath the sands and a moment later the Monstrous Dune Thresher emerges.

As well as his regular physical bite he is also Electrified which means he releases electrical balls of energy that travel in random directions across the ground.
